World-leading research
SSAHRI’s research units were judged to be of international quality in terms of originality, significance and rigour in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).
A substantial amount of this research was judged to be ‘world-leading’.
For instance, History was ranked equal seventh alongside Cambridge and UCL.
