STRI Showcase
In March 2008, the University of Hertfordshire hosted the Science and Technology Research Institute Showcase, its second showcase of research. Here are some of the highlights from the event.
Around the showcase

Research at the University of Hertfordshire is some of the most exciting to be found among UK universities and the STRI plays a big part in that success. The Showcase gave some of our audience an opportunity to experience our research first hand.
Research means business

A Business Breakfast on the second morning of the Showcase demonstrated how the University is providing innovative, cost-saving solutions for businesses.
Prestige lectures

Professor Jim Hough, Professor Bruce Christianson and Professor Mark Tracey gave prestige lectures during the showcase.
Award for measuring air quality

Samantha Martin won the STRI Showcase Research Student Poster Competition for her work on measuring non-exhaust emissions in the Hatfield Tunnel.
Astronomy Live!

There was a fight for places at the closing event of the showcase week – Astronomy Live! at the Bayfordbury Observatory.
