Speakers and talks

The Health and Human Sciences Research Institute’s cutting-edge research spans everything from psychology through to clinical trials. We’ve arranged a selection of bite-sized Showcase talks to give you a stimulating and accessible insight into all areas of our work.

Kicking off with a keynote speech by Professor Richard Wiseman on the nature of luck, our entertaining talks cover a range of contemporary subjects, from the health risks involved in taking Ecstasy to the effects of global warming in the Arctic.
