Clinical Trials Co-ordinating Centre (CTCC)

The CTCC is a newly formed group in the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences.

It has been set up as part of the Postgraduate Medical School (PMS) to be a centre of excellence and support for researchers undertaking clinical trials and other well designed clinical studies in order to contribute to the evidence base for health and social care locally, nationally and internationally.

As CTCC grows it will aim to support a wide range of clinical and social care research involving patients or healthy subjects to generate reliable evidence on:

  • causes, natural history and treatment of a wide range of conditions
  • the implementation and service delivery of health and social services.

The CTCC will also work with research funders, sponsors and investigators to support research in a cost-effective manner, so that the financial stability of the Centre is assured and its expertise retained.
