About HHSRI

Health and Human Sciences Research Institute (HHSRI) seeks to enhance the reputation of health and human sciences research at the University by:

  • Establishing various forums or groups who can collectively develop research strategy within the Institute, and discuss ways of enhancing excellence and productivity in R&D
  • Exploring and enabling meaningful interdisciplinary research collaborations within HHSRI as well as other areas of research excellence within the university
  • Promoting areas of research excellence to external organisations e.g. funding bodies / overseas universities.
  • Providing strategic input to research assessment exercises (e.g. 2008 RAE and 2013 REF). See our recent RAE 2008 results.
  • Providing infrastructure to support research activity across the Institute.
  • Ensuring our research has impact through the links we have, as a university, with public, private and voluntary sector organizations.
