International Business graduate to International Business man

Sagar Shah, International Business graduate from the University of Hertfordshire is set to take his family paper merchant business global.

After studying for a Bachelor of Commerce in India, Sagar decided to enhance his career prospects, to progress his family’s business, which currently supplies to Eastern and Western parts of India. He decided he wanted to study abroad for his Masters in International Business at the University of Hertfordshire.

Sagar said “Whilst I was keen to study in the UK, I also wanted to be amongst a diverse group of students so I could learn from different cultures. When I was comparing UK universities I found that the University of Hertfordshire had a vast range of diverse students, and I could expect to study alongside students from across the globe.”

He had a few issues with his health shortly after starting his course in 2008, and had to undergo surgery to resolve the problem. This interfered with his studies he didn’t want to fall behind with his work as it was important for him and his family in India that he succeeded.

“The support I received from my tutors was mind blowing, as they were all so supportive and had given me the best advice on how to deal with my situation. This gave me an extra push to complete my Masters.” Says Sagar.

Sagar is among the 4,300 new graduates who have celebrated academic success this year.
