The University of Hertfordshire’s Graduate Futures service isn’t just about helping students to get jobs – it’s about developing careers and working with employers too.

What we do

At Graduate Futures, we work with students, employers, alumni and staff. We:

  • help staff to develop our students’ employability

How we do it

Our work includes:

  • making it easier for employers and students to find each other by advertising first jobs, graduate jobs and work experience jobs
  • creating networking opportunities, including specialist careers events, workshops and recruitment fairs
  • running sessions on the vital soft skills needed for career success
  • providing online access to our services – so our clients can use them anywhere, any time

The Graduate Futures team

Whether you’re looking for careers advice, a graduate to fill one of your vacancies, or you want to make your students more employable, the Graduate Futures team can help. Our areas of expertise include:

Careers consultancy

Our qualified consultants are on hand to give careers advice to students and alumni. As well as giving sound, impartial guidance on CVs and job applications, our consultants work on putting employability at the heart of the curriculum.

Graduate employment

Our aim is to make it easier for employers to recruit our talented graduates. To do this, we’re increasing work experience opportunities and educating employers on attracting and retaining graduates.

Research and statistics

We provide information for the government and the public on graduate recruitment and careers. And collecting this data means we can target our work where it’s needed most.

Information and communications

We give staff, students, alumni and employers the information they need to understand the recruitment market and employability skills.
