The University has a large community of more than 2,800 international students from more than 85 countries worldwide. In 2012/13 we had 134 Sri Lankan students studying with us.

Entry Requirements
We typically require the following qualifications from Sri Lankan students:

| Foundation | One Sri Lankan A level or 2 A/S levels, with 5 passes in Sri Lankan O levels, including Maths and English | IELTS 4.5 with no less than 4.0 in any band |
| Undergraduate (year 1) | Sri Lankan A levels as per UH published tariff plus Sri Lankan O level maths | IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band (some courses require higher) |
| Undergraduate (year 2/3) | BTEC HND in related subject area with overall Merit profile – each application to be individually assessed | IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band (some courses require higher) |
| Pre-masters | Completion of a Bachelor Special degree without adequate grades to enter a Masters directly (each application assessed individually) | IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in any band |
| Postgraduate Taught | Completion of a Bachelor Special degree with 55% or above in a related subject area. Some courses require additional work experience/qualifications | IELTS 6.0 or 6.5 (depends on course) with no less than 5.5 in any band (some courses require higher) |

Our local representative
The University works with a local representative in Sri Lanka who will provide you with detailed information about the University and its programmes and can offer practical assistance throughout the application process.
There will be a £50 administration fee to change your representative.
