Welcome to students from Brazil

Here you will find important information for Brazilian students on courses, who to speak to and when and where you can meet our representatives in your country. The University has a large community of more than 2,800 international students from more than 85 countries worldwide. In 2012/13 we had Brazilian students studying with us.

Science Without Borders (Ciência sem Fronteiras)

The University of Hertfordshire is pleased to be one of a select group of UK universities invited to participate in the Science Without Borders mobility programme.

Science without Borders is a Brazilian Government scholarship programme which aims to send 100,000 Brazilian students on undergraduate sandwich courses, PhD sandwich courses and full PhDs to study in science, technology, engineering and mathematics at universities across the world. 10,000 students will enrol on programmes within the UK.

The scheme is being administered by CAPES and CNPq on behalf of the Brazilian government, and supported in the UK by Universities UK.

Important dates

Science Without Borders applications for September 2013 places will be open on 25 February 2013 and the initial deadline for applications is 10 March.

Clearing for Science Without Borders will close on 15 April 2013.

Candidates will be notified of places by 17 April 2013.

The deadline for all other September 2013 applications is 16 August 2013.
