Entry Requirements
We typically require the following qualifications from Ghanaian students:

| Foundation | Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) with 5 credit passes (grade C equivalent) | IELTS 4.5 with no less than 4.0 in any band |
| Undergraduate (year 1) | Entry to year 1 requires completion of A-levels or IB. For details of required A-level/IB scores please refer to the individual course webpages. | IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band |
| Undergraduate (year 2/3) | There are no agreed progression routes, but if you're interested in applying to the University after part completion of a degree or completion of a diploma, applications will be individually assessed | IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band |
| Pre-masters | Completion of a 4 year bachelors degree with third class honours | IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in any band |
| Postgraduate Taught | Completion of a 4 year bachelors degree with a minimum of 2.2 | IELTS 6.0 or 6.5 (depending on course)with no less than 5.5 in any band |

Our local representative
In order to support students applying from Ghana, the University of Hertfordshire is officially represented by Global Education Counselling (GEC).
