How to Apply

You must be an undergraduate student at your home university and have completed at least one year of study. You should also have satisfactorily completed the year of study prior to the study abroad period.

For non-native speakers, we normally require a test of English language proficiency, such as TOEFL 550 (213 CBT), IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 750, or equivalent. If English is not your first language, but you can demonstrate study of English to the required standard, we may, with the recommendation of your home university, accept other evidence of proficiency.

You should apply online, find out more about applying to study at the University of Hertfordshire

Once you have made an application please notify the Study Abroad Office by email at studyabroad@herts.ac.uk . You will later need to provide us with supporting documentation, such as an official transcript, an academic reference, and, where applicable, evidence of English language proficiency.

Once you have informed us of your application, we will take you through the application process step by step, from formal acceptance to module selection, and pre-departure information. We will advise you on necessary health, travel insurance and visa requirements, if appropriate, for entry to the UK. We also offer airport pick up and arrival orientation.
