The phrase ‘once more, with feeling’ connects the artists through their approach to their work - each artist exploring the interlinking themes of memory, repetition and performance often through portraiture. On a geographical scale the work is connected by where it was produced - politically troubled Colombia – which is inevitably referenced either directly or obliquely in some works, whilst others explore areas like humour, youth, fashion and play not usually associated with this country.
Exhibition curated by Pippa Oldfied at Impressions Gallery, Bradford and Camilla Brown at The Photographers' Gallery, London.
