Landscapes (1.00pm)

Landscapes (1.00pm)

The sun rises over a buzzing desert, a chick hatches, an eagle leaves its nest in search of food, below, the Meerkats are alert…

Thus begins a wonderful journey which takes younger children to four landscapes lovingly realised in this exquisite and intimate performance set in a white canvas dome. From desert to rainforest and from beneath the sea to Antarctica, this is a journey that no child should miss and a theatrical experience that all adults will find unforgettable.

Using elaborate puppets, beautifully designed lighting, an original soundtrack, and choreographed gesture and movement, Landscapes is a non-verbal exploration of the atmosphere, rhythms and sounds of four contrasting areas of the natural world. It creates a theatre of remarkable visual effects and transformations.Children are invited to create their very own theatre set and puppets, and use their imagination to bring it to life with a magical story. Led by UHArts.
