The School of Life Sciences offers consultancy and short courses in areas related to Biosciences and Geography and Environmental Sciences. We can also offer consultancy in areas of applied Sports Science and Health.
Biosciences
The Biosciences area and the Science Training Centre offer a wide range of consultancy and short courses.

Geography and Environmental Sciences
We offer a wide range of consultancy in geography and environmental sciences.
We have expertise in areas such as:

In recent years, GES has delivered projects to organisations ranging from government agencies to charities, public bodies to multinationals. We have substantial experience of working in partnership with other bodies. We have recently received funding from the Technology Strategy Board to develop a sustainability strategy, working with the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation. We lead the Quality Network Partnership for St Albans, working with a range of local stakeholders to deliver a Travel Plan.

Sport Sciences
We offer a range of consultancy services in all areas of applied Sports Science and Health including:
- Cardiovascular testing
- lactate testing
- weight management
- sports injuries
- sports psychology support
- sports nutrition and heat acclimation.
We have excellent facilites which allow us carry out these tests including an environmental chamber.
