Professional courses
The School of Law offers the Legal Practice Course for intending solicitors with the advantage of studying on a flexible day release part time basis at the same time as being in a study training contract or other employment.
The School of Law’s professional teaching and learning resources are of the very highest quality. We have the former courtroom of Hatfield Magistrates on campus which we use for advocacy training. We also run a Law Clinic on campus, which is the only university pro bono advice centre in the region, providing all our professional students with incredible opportunities to provide real legal advice to members of the local community.
On campus we have all learning facilities under one roof in the Law Learning Resource Centre. The Resource Centre’s facilities include an extensive collection of legal information databases, books, journals, law reports, and specialist practitioner materials.
