Why study Philosophy?
Philosophy staff at the University of Hertfordshire want to share our knowledge, skill and passion.
We will train you to do philosophy for yourself. You will do this via:
- Formal courses
- Extracurricular seminars
- Residential weekend at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park (optional)
- Just chatting in the atrium of the de Havilland Campus
Our philosophy staff are all active researchers. We can teach you how to create, write and present original, challenging, rigorous philosophy because we do it ourselves.
Our research topics include philosophy of education. We are one of the few philosophy departments in the UK where philosophy staff bring their full philosophical skills to bear on our main activity - teaching philosophy to students like you.
