English Language Support for International Students

Is success in your studies important to you?

Do you want to get good marks for your assignments?

Do you want help understanding what is expected of you at a UK university?

Do you want to be able to socialise with other students?

If yes... you need to attend our FREE In-sessional English classes.

We can help you improve your academic English. Our In-sessional courses focus on your listening and speaking skills to help you understand lectures and participate in seminars; your reading skills to help you improve your reading efficiency, and your writing skills to help you write a variety of assignments effectively.

In-sessional English is tailored to your subject and level.

If you are studying at degree level or masters level, the texts you will read the vocabulary you will learn and the skills you will practise will be relevant to your subject area.

As an international student, you will be given a personal assessment to help us find out if you will benefit from our In-sessional English programme. You will then be advised if you should attend in-sessional English or if your standard does not require any further help for you to succeed in your studies. If further help is required, you will need to ensure that you attend classes regularly to benefit. When you attend you will find that your subject assessment grades improve.

There are additional prizes for students at all levels who excel in English.
