Cheryl Warren

Our Therapies programme was one of the first to be established in the 1970s making us pioneers in the development of art therapy education.

Many of the students who have studied with us from the start are now successful art therapy practitioners.

Arts Therapies University Certificate

The University Certificate offers a short introduction to the practical, theoretical and experiential elements of work in art therapy.

MA Art Therapy

The MA Art Therapy allows you to become a registered art therapist within clinical environments in the public sector, and gives an understanding of its use in the private sector

You’ll learn to use the visual process of art making, in the context of a therapeutic relationship with a wide range of clients.

You will combine practical art making with a theoretical approach to art therapy and carry out work placements in the health and education sectors.

Our teaching staff

You will be taught by a team of staff who have an excellent reputation in terms of teaching quality, are widely published in their fields and continue to conduct clinical practice with a range of client groups.

You’ll also benefit from the wider art and design research environment.
