Graduated 2009
Research and Development Co-ordinator, Harman Pro Group
Not having been in a classroom for many years, I certainly found it tricky to acclimatise to the new environment, and create the discipline required to study for the MBA, but now having completed my studies I can certainly say it was worth the hard work!
Since graduating, my experience and expertise has certainly been recognised by my employers. I feel that the senior management has a fresh attitude towards me, and I have been given challenging projects that have a wider business perspective to them, rather than my specific area of expertise as before. And, having been asked to present more frequently to senior management as well as at board level, I can definitely see a return on my investment in the MBA.
Now I’m still involved in the MBA programme, representing Harman International in the Collective Enterprise module. I’m guiding current MBA student teams in a project on the benefits of ecodesign for our organisation, which I’m really enjoying and Harman are looking forward to reaping the rewards of partnering with the Hertfordshire MBA students.
