Research for Practice Development

Who should attend this course?

This Research fo practice development course is designed for health and community care practitioners who want to further develop their knowledge of the research process, and acquire an understanding of how such knowledge could enhance practice within their clinical area. 

Course content

The aim of this course is to enable you to develop the skills and knowledge required to prepare a research proposal relevant to your specific area of clinical practice.

The course covers both philosophical and practical aspects of research and encourages learners to reflect on their role in the research process.

You will participate in the critical appraisal of quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Elements of the research process will be explored.

Assessment

The assessment involves the presentation of a research proposal of 3,000 words.
