Who should attend this course?

The Psychological therapies course is suitable for health professionals who wish to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness in the treatment and management of patients with pain.

It is particularly relevant for GPs, physiotherapists, chiropractors, occupational therapists, osteopaths, sports therapists and nurses.

Course content

The Psychological therapies for patients with pain course will introduce the principles of motivational interviewing, CBT and mindfulness to inform its role in the practice and management of patients with persistent pain. The course includes opportunities to try out a range of techniques in a supportive environment.

Assessment

You can select to gain credits for this course by taking an assessment. If you choose to take the assessment you must be a qualified health professional with a degree or professional equivalent.
