Who should attend this course
This Physical examination of the healthy neonate course is for midwives who hold a registration with the NMC and are currently employed in a relevant practice area.
Course content
This course aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to undertake the paediatric discharge examination of newborn babies.
The course gives you the special skills development you need in order to give a holistic midwifery-led care and adopt a multi-professional approach both in its delivery and assessment.
You need to have a good degree of assertiveness and organisational skills.
The course is predominantly practice based. You will be taught in clinical practice by Consultant / Registrar paediatricians and your skills development will be further supported by lecturers from the University.
