Course content

The aims of this Pathophysiology for image interpretation of the musculoskeletal system 2 course is to help you critically evaluate the choice of imaging modalities and clinical investigations available and to demonstrate pathologies supplementing plain film imaging in the investigation of the musculoskeletal system. 

This course develops further your understanding of the theory and practice in diagnostic imaging of the musculoskeletal system and explores current developments and research in imaging.

You analyse the role of imaging in the diagnosis, management and treatment of disease which helps you recognise the importance of critical evaluation of imaging modalities, thus optimising risk benefit.

This Pathophysiology for image interpretation of the musculoskeletal system 2 course develops your knowledge and ability that prepares you to perform as a practitioner within the Ionising Regulation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2006.

You will also study legislation and guidelines impacting on diagnostic imaging practice.

You are able to develop an interest in a field of radiographic practice.
