The non medical prescribing for allied health professionals course provides opportunities to develop and demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skills in prescribing practice through independent reasoned thought, systematic enquiry, reflection and evaluation.
Topics include:
- Systematic approaches to assessment and diagnosis
- Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
- Factors that influence prescribing practice and patients&##39; use of medication
- Evidence based sources of information Legal, professional and ethical issues associated with the role.

Entry requirements...
You will be required to hold current registration with the HPC and experience in a relevant field of practice for your intended prescribing role. You should also have support from your employer with appropriate supervised practice in a clinical area together with a Doctor who is willing to support and assess you in supervised practice. Current CRB clearance is also necessary.
