Who should attend this course?
The Musculoskeletal radiography trauma recognition part 2 course is suitable for diagnostic radiographers who work in a trauma environment and participate in an informal reporting scheme.
It is recommended that participants complete the Musculoskeletal radiography trauma recognition part 1 or equivalent prior to this course.
Course content
The aim of the Musculoskeletal radiography trauma recognition part 2 course is to enable radiographers to provide an appropriate written comment to image description of trauma radiographs
The Musculoskeletal radiography trauma recognition part 2 course includes the medico-legal implications of report writing and opportunity to discuss the College of Radiographers guidance on radiographer commenting on trauma images.
Guidance is given as to how to best structure an informal comment to include terminology to be used, format and common pitfalls encountered. There will be opportunities to practice sample reports on case studies when participating in interactive workshops.
There will be discussion of methods employed when recording the informal comment.
