Course content
The Musculoskeletal assessment and case management in occupational health course gives you an introduction to musculoskeletal assessment and case management in occupational health. It is divided in two workshops that include lectures and small group based learning.
Occupational health services – The first workshop covers key issues facing health professionals working in an occupational health service. Topics covered include occupational health team roles, communication issues, legislation, workstation and job site assessments and using functional measures to help determine return to work.
Musculoskeletal assessment and management – The second workshop takes on a scenario-based approach, where you apply the knowledge you gained in the first workshop to case studies.
Assessment
Assessment is a 30-minute case study presentation including both practical and theoretical elements. If you want to take the assessment you need to be a qualified health professional with a degree or professional equivalent
