How to apply for postgraduate and research degrees at the University:
Postgraduate degrees
To apply for a taught postgraduate programme (ie Master's degree) you will need to complete a University application form. You can download a copy of the form below:
PGCE primary and secondary courses
GTTR applications
To apply for a full-time or part-time PGCE programme, you will need to complete a GTTR application.

Research degrees
There are certain pre-requisites in order to register for a research degree at the University of Hertfordshire:
You should normally hold a 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent). Exceptionally, other persons who are deemed by the Research Degrees Board to be suitably qualified, may be accepted as candidates for research degrees. Individual research degree schedules (Professional Doctorates, for example) may specify additional entry requirements.
All overseas students are required to sit an English language test and, normally, to receive a minimum IELTS 6.5
To apply for a research degree, you should contact the appropriate Research Institute, for both an informal discussion with the research leader in the area that interests you, and to make contact with the appropriate Research Institute administrator, who can help you with the application process. if you are unsure which Research Institute your area of interest would fit into, please contact the Research Office.
Doctorate of Clinical Psychology
All applications to the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology Training Programme are made through the National Clearing House for Postgraduate Courses in Clinical Psychology.
