Who should attend this course?

This Honours degree project course is suitable for health and community care practitioners who have completed the Level 3 Research for Practice Development course successfully.

Course content

At the end of the course you will be able to:

  • undertake an extended critical literature review
  • demonstrate critical understanding of interpretation of data
  • present findings in a critical and coherent way

This course gives you the opportunity to consolidate your research knowledge and develop skills (with tutorial guidance) through undertaking and reporting of an evaluative literature review in an area relevant to your practice. It also offers the opportunity for the writing up of an honours degree project.

It enables you to consolidate your research knowledge and develop skills through undertaking an evaluative review of literature.

When you successfully complete the course you will be able to:

  • identify an issue of concern to health care practice
  • conduct an inquiry based on sound methodology and research design

Assessment

100% coursework which consists of a 5,000 word project to consolidate your research knowledge and demonstrate your skills of planning and managing an honours degree project in one of the following:

  • an evaluative review of literature
  • clinical audit
  • developing a practice portfolio
