GIS: Introduction to Mapping & Analysis
Outputs can be used for a variety of purposes including informing planning decisions or mapping customers, clients or resources. The course is based on sustainable planning and travel planning case studies, but teaches skills replicable across all disciplines including adding meaning, clarification and perspective to data. Compared to the one-day course, this course covers other topics including 3D building modelling for implementation in to Google Earth, more complex analysis functions and primary data collection & collation. This course will utilise the expertise present within the University of Hertfordshire's GIS Consultancy Team, Centre for Sustainable Communities and Life Sciences. No previous GIS experience is required, but a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is recommended
