Research degree fees
Tuition fees
In common with other UK universities, the University of Hertfordshire charges tuition fees for research degree study.
New students
There are separate fees for:
- full-time UK and EU research students
- part-time UK and EU research students
- International research students
A writing up fee also applies for some research degree programmes.
Returning students

Studentships
We also offer research degree studentships through our Schools of Study and these are advertised when they are available.
