Bursaries

University of Hertfordshire bursaries

We offer our own non-repayable bursaries to help UK students who want to study for a degree but have little financial resources.

A £1,000 bursary is given to new students in receipt of the full maintenance grant. *

Exceptions

* The bursary is not available for degrees in:

  • dietetics
  • nursing and midwifery
  • physiotherapy and radiography
  • social work
  • students studying a PGCE programme

Payments are made in two instalments:

  • end January
  • end April

The bursary is not linked to any student loan or scholarship which may be awarded to you.

Do I need to apply?

No. There is no need to apply for a bursary. If you are eligible you will receive the money automatically. However, you must remember to:

  • submit your student finance form.
  • register on a course by the 30th November.
  • attend your University of Hertfordshire course.
  • ensure that you and your parent(s) have consented to share your information via the student loan company.
