This course combines our two one-day courses Comparing Groups and Relationships in Data. All courses take place on the University's state-of-the-art de Havilland campus.

Who is it for?
This course is aimed at those who need to learn about the classical methods of analysing data.
What prior knowledge is assumed?
It is assumed that delegates on this course will have knowledge of probability and the Normal distribution. Those whose experience of these topics is some time in the past should find sufficient reminders given to enable them to participate fully. Delegates who have been on our courses Getting Started with Stats or Starter Course in Statistics should have appropriate prior knowledge.
What does the course cover?
The topics covered in the course are:
- Excel
- SPSS
- one-sample hypothesis tests
- two-sample hypothesis tests
- one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA)
- non-parametric analyses
- chi-square test of independence
- correlation
- simple linear regression
- multiple regression

Course fees
Course fee: £425 including teas/coffees, and lunch
Discounts are available for those attending more than one course (such as the follow-on Intermediate/Refresher Course in Statistics and Higher Course in Statistics), and research students. Those on limited incomes should contact the course organisers to discuss their situation.
