Entry requirements

A second class degree in any subject. Applicants with other qualifications and relevant experience will be considered individually by the programme tutor. Accredited Prior Learning (APL) is available for those who already have associate membership of IEMA.

If English is not your first language, you will need a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent. 

We are pleased to accept all qualifications included in the UCAS tariff points system (e.g. International Baccalaureate, key skills). More information about our entry requirements.

English language requirements

All students from non-majority English speaking countries require proof of English language proficiency. The following qualifications and grades will be considered

- GCSE English language grade A-C
- IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in any band)

Other English language tests are accepted. Please contact the International Office for details.

Study routes

  • Part-time 24-48 months

Professional accreditation

Three modules are accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) for Associate membership (giving exemption from the open book examination).

All taught modules are accredited by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) for graduate membership.
