Who should attend this course?
This Dissertation project course is intended for UK health and social care professionals who wish to develop their knowledge and complete their MSc in the field of Nursing, Health, Social Care and Midwifery.
Course content
The aims of the course are to:
- Complete a substantial piece of work which demands the use of appropriate skills of inquiry, critical analysis and evaluation of current practice.
- Develop insights of demonstrable value in chosen field
- Consider alternative ways of defining and managing a practice issue.
This course is provided for students undertaking the MSc Contemporary Nursing and who have completed 135 / 120 credits. It will give you the opportunity to consolidate your research knowledge and develop skills (with tutorial guidance) through planning, undertaking and reporting of either:
- primary research
- service innovation
- analysis of policy or practice, or
- audit

Assessment
The assessment consists of a 10,000 word written dissertation.

You are required to have at least 120 credits studied on a MSc Advancing Practice programme or 135 credits on MSc Contemporary Nursing or other masters programmes.
