Joint Honours
The subject
This course prepares you for a range of managerial and executive careers in industry, commerce and the public sector, or for further study.
You do not need to have studied business previously.
You will gain an understanding of the role of businesses in society, developing knowledge of key areas like finance, human resources and marketing. In addition, you will acquire problem-solving, analysis and group-working skills.
In the First Year, you will study marketing and accounting and explore areas such as:
- market segmentation
- market research
- financial information
- management accounting
In the Second Year, you will choose from a range of options, including industrial relations, cross-cultural management and accounting for management control.
You can opt to take a work placement or study exchange or both in your Third Year.
During your Final Year, you will study business strategy, as well as developing specialisms in particular areas like marketing, accounting or human resources.
