CIM Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing
More about the course
The Chartered Postgraduate Diploma consists of two stages:
Stage 1
This stage is comprised of four units, taught via weekend workshops and supported by distance learning. There will be one weekend workshop with an additional revision session per module.
The four modules are:
- Unit 1: Emerging Themes (Assessment by written assignment)
- Unit 2: Analysis & Decision (Assessment by case study examination)
- Unit 3: Marketing Leadership & Planning (Assessment by written assignment)
- Unit 4: Managing Corporate Reputation (Assessment by written assignment)
The aim is to provide senior marketing managers with the knowledge, skills and knowhow to provide an insight into defining the organisation’s strategic focus, and developing marketing strategies and the corporate communications plan.
Stage 2
This stage is a work-based project, designed to develop the professional skills and competencies required to implement research and/or business projects successfully.
Part of the process will be to evaluate the role of these skills in the project, as well as whether the project successfully achieved the intended outcomes. It will also enable students to evaluate behavioural changes in order to develop their skills for interactions at a higher level, ie at a strategic and/or board level.
