Nurses with dermatology experience of at least 1 year working in an outpatient setting that have not completed formal paediatric training OR Dermatology nurse specialist who has not completed formal paediatric training Level 2 safeguarding children must have been completed or be completed whilst on the course Applicants do not need to be independent nurse prescribers

- Child development: growth and normal milestones
- Clinical consultation skills: children, young people, families
- Assessing children, young people: history, examination, QoL tools
- Behavioral and psychological issues
- Importance of play and distraction techniques
- Safeguarding & child protection
- Prescribing for children
- Common childhood chronic diseases
- Common skin conditions in children
- Intolerance, allergy & anaphylaxis
- Paediatric liaison and referral pathways.

Clinical Portfolio : 30 credits at Level 6 (formally Level 3)
Clinical Portfolio + essay (2500w) : 30 credits at Level 7 (formally Level M)
