Who should attend this course?
Health care staff, particularly learning disability and mental health nurse practitioners, who wish to gain a general understanding of Aspergers syndrome.
Course content
The Aspergers awareness course will:
- Examine theories of causation and prevalence of Aspergers within the UK
- Explore the risk of further health issues which are prevalent amongst people who have Aspergers
- Discuss approaches to good practice, based upon the current evidence, which best meets the needs of service-users who have Aspergers
