About the course
- In an age of rapid media convergence, this course is particularly attractive to the student who knows their future lies in the media but doesn't want to limit their options and specialise too soon.
- The Screen Cultures and Media Practices pathway aims to provide a fresh and creative approach to Media Studies for the 21st Century, with full integration of theoretical concepts and media practices.
- The Screen Cultures and Media Practices pathway is for students who want to make their careers in the new media professions. Students will have opportunity to create podcasts, web pages, posters, video sequences, 2D animated and interactive artefacts, and much more.
Entry requirements
240 points from GCE A Levels (or equivalent) including a qualification in media or cultural studies, in art and design, communication studies, English literature or related subjects.
GCSE English language and Maths at grade C (Key skills are accepted as equivalent).
Selection may include an interview where you present creative or written work which relates to the study area.

English language requirements
All students from non-majority English speaking countries require proof of English language proficiency. The following qualifications and grades will be considered
- GCSE English language grade A-C
- IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band)
