About the course
- You will acquire an advanced understanding of human psychology and develop competence in the application of these methods. Your studies will benefit from the knowledge gained in your other subject but Psychology Joint Honours students are not eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society.
- You will learn to critically evaluate and attempt to integrate the various approaches into everyday situations.
- A qualification in English Language and Communication is valuable in a wide range of careers, specifically speech therapy, psychology, computing and teaching English either as mother tongue or as a foreign language.
- The sensitivity to language & sense of accuracy you develop at the course is highly rated in any career where intensive reading and writing are demanded.
Entry requirements
320 UCAS points including two A Levels at grade B. BTEC National diploma grades DDM. GCSE English language and maths at grade C or above (or equivalent). A minimum IELTS score of 6.5, TOEFL 550 (92 IBT)is required for those for whom English is not their first language. Equivalent qualifications welcomed.

English language requirements
All students from non-majority English speaking countries require proof of English language proficiency. The following qualifications and grades will be considered
- GCSE English language grade A-C
- IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band)
