This degree offers a dynamic approach to the study of physiotherapy and provides you with the problem solving abilities to become a competent professional physiotherapist. You will gain a solid knowledge base and placement experiences appropriate to cope with contemporary physiotherapy practice.
I came to UH is because of its reputation for healthcare courses and the great facilities. They offer lots of practical sessions and early clinical placements which really appealed.

Work placement
Approximately one third of your time is spent on practice placements carried out within hospitals and healthcare service provider units. This allows you to mix with both academic and professional personnel. During practice placements you will be given support, supervision and education from highly qualified clinicians.

Teaching methods
By adopting an integrated approach, the degree offers foundation studies in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, therapeutic practice and electrophysics. Research and inter-professional working are considered core dimensions of the programme of study. Practical skills are developed throughout the programme and are facilitated by the scenario-based approach to learning and teaching, supported by practical laboratory sessions, small group discussions, seminars and tutorials.
Practice placement
The practice placement component of this programme accounts for approximately one third of the modules of study required for successful completion of the degree. The assessment of this clinical education contributes directly to the level of degree awarded.
