About the course
- This degree prepares students to work in feature films, TV drama series and serials, shorts and commercials. They learn how to script and pitch projects and how to make their own single camera films with state of the art HD cameras and FCP editing equipment.
- Students are introduced to the importance of scripts and narrative and learn how to direct and work with actors.
- Technically, students concentrate on the entire production and post-production processes – the use of HD cameras and lights and the use of specialist filming equipment like dollies, tracks, jib arms and even steadicam operation.
- Post-production includes high end cinematic colour grading methods, with the use of a specialist colour control surface, dubbing and sound mixing and editing workflows and rushes management.
- The course is taught by active industry professionals, with specialist keynote contributions from leading industry creatives. Students are encouraged to develop industry contacts and market awareness.
