About the course
- This programme is an ideal alternative route to higher education
- It prepares you for progression to a science related Honours degree.
- There are a variety of courses that you can choose to progress to when you complete your Extended degree including Astronomy, Astrophysics, Biology, Dietetics, Environmental, Mathematics, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science, Physics and Sport.
Entry requirements
120 points made up of at least one A level (A2), a BTEC National Award or equivalent. Plus 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Mathematics, English Language and Science or equivalent. Applicants returning to study with equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience will be welcome to apply.We are pleased to accept all qualifications included in the UCAS tariff points system (e.g. International Baccalaureate, key skills). English language requirements
All students from non-majority English speaking countries require proof of English language proficiency. The following qualifications and grades will be considered
- GCSE English language grade A-C
- IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band)
