About the course
- A qualification in English Language and Communication is valuable in a wide range of careers, specifically speech therapy, psychology, computing and teaching English either as mother tongue or as a foreign language.
- The sensitivity to language & sense of accuracy you develop at the course is highly rated in any career where intensive reading and writing are demanded.
- An ideal subject if you are interested in fieldwork and practical components as it is based on visits made to a wide variety of locations including the University Field Station at Bayford.
- It provides you with an integrated approach to the natural and social sciences relevant to understanding the complex interrelationships between conservation, science and planning in both natural and urban environments.
Entry requirements
300 UCAS points. GCSE English language, maths and double science at grade C or above (or equivalent).A minimum IELTS score of 6.5, TOEFL 550 (92 IBT)is required for those for whom English is not their first language. Equivalent qualifications welcomed.

English language requirements
All students from non-majority English speaking countries require proof of English language proficiency. The following qualifications and grades will be considered
- GCSE English language grade A-C
- IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band)
