About the course
- A qualification in English Language and Communication is valuable in a wide range of careers, specifically speech therapy, psychology, computing and teaching English either as mother tongue or as a foreign language.
- The sensitivity to language & sense of accuracy you develop at the course is highly rated in any career where intensive reading and writing are demanded.
- The course emphasises on how economics can play a role in analysing and modelling situations in the business environment, developing countries and in the formation of public policy.
- No prior knowledge of economics is assumed when you start your studies with us.
Entry requirements
300 UCAS points. GCSE English language and maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).A minimum IELTS score of 6.5, TOEFL 550 (92 IBT)is required for those for whom English is not their first language. Equivalent qualifications welcomed.

English language requirements
All students from non-majority English speaking countries require proof of English language proficiency. The following qualifications and grades will be considered
- GCSE English language grade A-C
- IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band)
