About the course
- A degree programme designed to support care improvement and continuing professional development for nurses working in a variety of settings.
- It is appropriate to those who have recently qualified at diploma level and wish to ‘top-up’ their diploma nursing qualification to degree level.
- It is also relevant to experienced nurses who wish to enhance their skills and knowledge in their specific area of practice
- At its heart, the programme aims to develop intellectual and practice skills in order to enhance your performance as a nurse and improve the effectiveness of care you give to patients.
- There are 4 awards and pathways available including:
- Children’s Nursing
- Learning Disabilities
- Surgical Care
- Clinical Nursing
Entry requirements
- Normally 120 credits at level 1 and 2 e.g. Diploma in Higher Education in Nursing *
- Qualified health professional, registered with a UK regulatory body
- Working for a minimum of 20 hours per month in the UK in a healthcare environment that is appropriate to the relevant pathway.
