Life at the university
University life
Creativity, professionalism, innovation and fun are what life at the University of Hertfordshire is all about.
We offer a stimulating environment where you’ll enjoy an inspiring mix of the academic and entrepreneurial worlds. We’ve got Government backing to develop as a model of a business-facing university, putting you at the cutting edge of twenty-first century education.
Our location
Working in Hertfordshire really gives you the best of all worlds. You can enjoy local shops, bars and restaurants and you’re also close to London and all its amenities. You’ll work in a peaceful, attractive, semi-rural environment, where you can enjoy lots of outdoor activities.
Both Hatfield campuses are just north of the M25. It takes around 25 minutes to get to London by train, and Luton airport and Stansted airport are just 40 minutes away. Lively, historic St Albans is just 15 minutes away.
