Foundations and Principles of Assessment for NQTs

We are running separate sessions for Primary and Secondary NQTs as follows:

Course outcomes

  • List and describe the purposes and types of assessments
  • Identify the purposes of assessment in your school
  • Describe the key principles of assessment
  • Relate the principles of assessment to the idea of educational standards
  • Develop and design assessments based on specific learning outcomes
  • Relate marking and feedback to assessment.

  • the whole assessment system in your school fits together
  • assessment information in your school is communicated to others, and be in a better position to improve them.
