i-shadow the University of Hertfordshire Work Shadowing Scheme

People purple shadows bricks paths The University of Hertfordshire’s brand new i-shadow scheme is a great way to help employers talent spot students for recruitment opportunities.

The scheme connects employers and students for short-term shadowing experiences and is an easy way to engage with proactive UH students. It gives employers the chance to raise their organisation’s brand and invest valuable industry knowledge and skills into future business professionals.

Our scheme is aimed at students that are underrepresented in a particular role, sector or area. Employers can choose to offer a work shadowing opportunity students that fall into any of the following groups:

  • First years - Any University of Hertfordshire student studying in their First year.
  • BME (Black, Minority, Ethnic) students that study in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects.
