This practice-focused programme concentrates on building skills which can immediately be applied in the workplace, and helps you understand and utilise your personal strengths.
You will develop your project management knowledge and leadership capabilities, studying the core principles of project management and the theory and practice of leadership, relating the concepts learned to your real-life project work and practice.
Timescale and fees
It takes approximately 7 months to complete the PgCert, and there are 12 block-release contact teaching days in total, six per module. You can study the programme on campus, or in the prestigious surroundings of the London Chamber of Commerce in central London (different fee scales apply).
Study methods
The blend of delivery methods has been designed to allow participants who are in full time employment to complete the programme. Contact teaching days are combined with additional distance learning activities and work-based projects, fully supported through our virtual learning environment. There are no examinations. Instead, you are assessed by work-based assignments which focus around your individual work context and your real-life projects.
Progression
Successful graduates of the PgCert can progress to the full MSc Project Management Practice.
If you have management experience but don't meet the entry requirements, you can apply for an experience-only entry to the PgCert, moving on to the MSc on successful completion.
